government respectsCalifornia sets a record for voter registration!  Nearly 76% of those eligible to vote were registered as of Sept. 7 – nearly 19 million people.  Californians are increasingly turning from political parties and registering as “no party preference” voters.  Both Democrats and Republicans have seen their numbers shrink between May and September.

It will soon be time to vote!  In the June 2014 primary election, 45 percent of registered voters actually voted.  In the June 2016 general election that climbed to over 75 percent.  There are important candidate races and propositions to decide including our US Senator, US Representative, Governor, other officers and 12 Propositions.

Official Voter Information Guide has been mailed to registered voters.
