About the film

A 2010 documentary film directed by Enrico Parenti and Thomas Fazi – about the global network of U.S. military bases, the impact these have on local populations, and the military-industrial complex that lies behind it.   For the last one hundred years or so, the US has silently encircled the globe setting up a powerful network of military bases unlike any other in history.  Every continent is included.  Today, there are no less than 716 bases located throughout 38 countries with more than 250,000 troops. In addition to this, the US has a presence in 110 countries.  Despite the fact social services for Americans have been cut significantly, the military budget keeps growing.
