The Stop Cop City campaign in Atlanta is continuing to escalate, and with the city of Atlanta refusing to acknowledge the people’s petition with over 115,000 signatures to put Cop City on the ballot the people have demanded an immediate shut down of the project. This shut down will commence from November 10-13th during a mass direct action to shut down the project. Prior to this action the organizing of the newly named Block Cop City campaign began an international speaking tour to explain the history of the movement, and how people can contribute to the fight against Cop City. At 4pm on October 12th at the Voorhies Hall – Room 126(Corner of 1st Street and A Street) in Davis the organizers will be giving a public speech about the campaign against Cop City which is open to all. If able, we highly recommend that everyone who can go to Atlanta from November 10th-13th and shut down Cop City in what is likely the most important action of the year. We understand how far away Atlanta is, but if you are able then join the fight and save the forest.
