This play was first performed at the Royal Court Theatre in England and has been performed all over the world in over 250 productions.  The April 25th performance stars Ashley Malloy and was edited by Alan Rickman and Katherine Viner.

The One-Woman Play chronicles the life of 23 year-old Rachel Corrie. Rachel grew up in Olympia, Washington and traveled to Gaza with the International Solidarity Movement in January of 2003.   She was crushed to death by an Israeli bulldozer on March 16, 2003, while nonviolently defending a Palestinian family’s home that was to be demolished.

In the play we witness Rachel mature from a deeply perceptive adolescent to a young woman who travels to Gaza to find her voice and her place in the world.  Rachel felt she had an obligation to pursue peace and justice in the face of unimaginable danger and suffering.  The performance will be followed by a discussion with the actor.
