RSVP Facebook event: NCC Earth Day 2015
Sierra College Nevada County Campus invites the community to join in the celebration of Earth Day on Monday, April 20. The campus will be abuzz with all things green! Environmental, humanitarian and educational exhibits will be provided by students, faculty, local businesses and non-profit organizations. Live music, poetry readings, and dance will entertain and educate all those who join in this fun and free celebration of planet Earth. The Sierra College District has faithfully celebrated Earth Day each year since its official world-wide inauguration in April of 1970. We encourage visitors to consider walking, riding a bike, riding the bus, or carpooling to the event to help us reduce carbon emissions and save the $3 parking fee. Use that money instead towards the purchase of some delicious and healthy food options that will be available, like Calla Lily Crepes, and others.Help us in our efforts to make Earth Day a ZERO WASTE ZONE! Honor Earth Day and help reduce waste by bringing your own “Festival Kit’” with re-usable to-go wear (Plate/Bowl, utensils, water bottle, mug, cloth napkin) and we will gift you a free ticket for our drawing to win ECO stuff.
