Alternatives To Violence

May 17 – 19

AVP is designed to be fun, using interactive exercises and games to practice ways to communicate well when prejudice, frustration, fear or anger can lead to aggressive words or behavior. Facilitators learn with participants. There are no teachers. Workshops are 18 hours long.

There are Basic and Advanced Workshops, and for those wishing to co-facilitate workshops in the community, schools, and the prisons there is the Training for Facilitators Workshop. Fees by donation are reasonable, with a sliding scale ranging from $25 to $125. Scholarships are readily available. Light breakfast, snacks and lunch provided.
