If you are interested in helping to formulate programs, please call the Peace Center, or send an email to the Center, with VOLUNTEER in the subject line (do not reply directly to this bulletin by email, it will not work). Please note that the program names are tentative; they have not yet been approved by the Board, and they may be changed as the programs evolve. We need volunteers with interest and/or experience in working with youth, as well as those who have contacts within the local schools. Another new effort is the Peaceful Empowerment Program (PEP). In this program, trained volunteers will offer support and help to community members who have been victims of bullying, intolerance or prejudice. If you are interested in learning more about this program and/or volunteering for the PEP team, please contact the Peace Center at 478.0699. It takes a village to run a Peace Center, and additional committees are being formed to tackle all the necessary tasks.
