Do you want to make a lasting change in your family, community and the world?  Join us for an introductory Peace Recruiting Workshop to learn about how to interact with students and facility in our high schools.   Learn about the risks and reality of military service and other alternatives for employment and further education.  This workshop is sponsored by Grandmothers for Peace of Nevada County, Peace Center of Nevada County and Veterans For Peace.  Please contact the Peace Center phone 265-0200 or email ncpeace@sbcglobal.net.

Balancing the Feminine and Masculine; Ending the War

The Women’s Sacred Circle of Unity and Rev. Jerry are sponsoring a special Sunday service to mark International Women’s Day. The theme of the service is “Balancing the Feminine and Masculine Energies: Ending the War.” The service will be in the round and will include an experiential process of clearing the first Chakra issues of insecurity for both men and women, as well as balancing the energies in our minds and hearts. The event is free and open to the community.

Marisa Tomei, Josh Brolin, Viggo Mortensen, Kerry Washington and many more.  Narrated by late historian, professor, writer and activist, Howard Zinn.

Palestine-Israel Working Group


Meets regularly on the second Tuesday of each month, 7:00 pm, at the Peace Center of Nevada County, 216B Main Street, Nevada City. 

The mission of the Palestine Israel Working Group is to educate ourselves and others about the situation in Israel/Palestine, and to work in solidarity with others to encourage a nonviolent solution to the conflict, resulting in equality and justice for all.

The Thursday Vigil is suspended for the season.
